23 Essential Twitter Apps You Didn’t Know You Needed

You know how you find that incredible Twitter app, use it a couple of times and then can’t remember where it was? Me too.

So I pulled this quick list together as much as a bookmark list for my own use as to share some apps you might not have seen yet.

It is not at all comprehensive and I left out all of the desktop, iPhone apps and mash-ups for another post coming soon.

TweetLater Schedules Tweets, monitor key words, Send automated thank you notes to new followers, and automatically follow new followers.

 

MyTweet16 When you want to step back into Twistory. View the first 16 tweets of any Twitter user.
SocialToo Allows you to create surveys, profile redirection, auto-follow and un-follow, as well as auto DM thank you notes.
TweetScan Search messages and profiles on Twitter and set up email alerts so you don’t miss a thing. Download an archive of your Tweets as a CSV for posterity.

TweetDeck Is an Adobe Air desktop application that enables users to split their main feed (All Tweets) into topic or group specific columns allowing a broader overview of tweets. The default columns can contain All Tweets from your timeline, @replies directed to you and direct messages. The GROUP, SEARCH and REPLIES buttons then allow the user to make up additional columns populated from the live tweet information. Once created these additional columns will automatically update allowing the user to keep track of a twitter threads far easier.

Great list, perhaps you could also mention TweetDeck? I’d be lost without Tweetdeck and find it the most useful twitter app of all.
