The Obamas Violate The First 3 Rules Of Selling

5 10 2009

Here are two articles that every network marketer and entrepreneur should read and learn from.

Both articles examine last week’s speeches of Barack and Michelle Obama to the International Olympic Committee (IOC), and explain why the Obamas failed to persuade the IOC to choose Chicago as the host city for the 2016 Olympic Games.

OBAMAS VIOLATED THE FIRST THREE RULES OF SELLING by C. Edmund Wright.

MICHELLE OBAMA’S OLYMPIC ‘GIMME’ SPEECH by Joe Gimenez.

LEARN FROM THE ABOVE TWO ARTICLES!
Whether you agree or disagree with the political philosophy of either writer is irrelevant. What’s relevant is that both Wright and Gimenez correctly identify the flaws and ineffectiveness in the Obamas’ speeches and strategy.

As you read these two articles, take notes as to what the two authors point out was wrong with the Obamas’ strategy, and ask yourself if anything pertains to your sales and marketing tools.

If nothing is pertinent, then that’s good!

But if something is pertinent, then make the necessary changes!

Enjoy the articles . . .  learn from them . . . and share them!

Created & Updated My Personal Audio Blog

27 09 2009

Hello All,

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend on this sunny Sunday afternoon we are having over here on the  east coast.

I’ll keep it short for today as to I want to get back outside and enjoy whats left of this beautiful day we’re having.

… So, just a quick update for now:

Over  the  past  few months, I’ve been testing several different blog platforms in an attempt to  find the most feature-rich, and user-friendly options available.   In doing so I’ve  ended up with several blog sites.  In an effort not to have  the  exact same content on each of  them,  I recently changed and updated one of them to an AUDIO ONLY blog site.

You can check it out and bookmark  it at: http://AudioBlog.BenjaminKee.com.

Take a listen and let me know what you think by leaving me a comment.

Also, please take the quick survey that I created on the right-hand column of the audio blog and tell me the topics that you would like to hear more about and I’ll do just that …. Create more audio posts discussing exactly what YOU want to learn on.

I hope you find it useful and informative.

Until next time,

Ben

PS.  Now get outside and have some fun! 😉

20 Minutes of Coaching With Tony Robbins: TEDTalks

4 03 2009

What’s YOUR “Why” ?

Tony Robbins discusses the “invisible forces” that motivate everyone’s actions — and high-fives Al Gore in the front row.

Goals Vs. Intentions

13 01 2009

I was recently reviewing my goals a couple days ago from when I first got involved in Network Marketing; when I realized how confusing the concept of goal setting can be.  And, possibly why so few people achieve their “goals.”
When I first got involved Network Marketing, I was taught to set monthly, yearly, 5 year, etc. income goals; how many people I would sponsor each month; how many leaders I would develop, how much volume my group would produce, etc.

What?!?!

To be honest, this always baffled me. I would sit with a blank piece of paper, and wonder why I just wasn’t “getting it.”

Sure, I could think up some arbitrary numbers, but without a clear road map or idea of how I was going to get there, I would quickly wad up the page and turn on the TV. (Well, not quite, but almost!)

Once I was taught and mastered the art of setting “intentions”, and being very clear about what I needed to do each day in my business, things REALLY changed, and for the better!

Take responsibility and control.

Setting intentions is really more about taking responsibility and control for the actions that YOU CAN and WILL complete.

To say one wants to earn $10,000 a month by the end of year one is great, but since Network Marketing is a volunteer army, one is depending on some other people to hold up their end of the rep agreement! Unless you can work 24/7 and never sleep!

Make small steps DAILY.

But, to focus on simple, daily action steps such as – contacting 5 people a day about the business (this can be done in person, over the phone, through email, via a website, a leads program, etc), 5 days a week; making 5 follow up phone calls or emails from the contacts you create; and taking other various steps to build ones business (Networking via message forum postings, social networking, sharing samples of the product with people everywhere you go, running an ad in your local paper, attending company events in your local area, submitting articles for ezines, hosting your own local opportunity meeting, publishing an ezine, etc. – now that’s the kind of “goal setting” that can create what one is REALLY looking for.

So, make your “business plan and goals sheet” about setting your intentions for each day, week, month and year, and then COMMIT to those intentions.

Follow through and DO IT.

Don’t look back for 90 days, and commit those 90 days to solid intentions each and every day!

Be sure you set realistic intentions, too. Set yourself up for success with smaller numbers and smaller steps and then get them done. As you begin to feel more comfortable with the process, then you can begin to take bigger steps and set bigger intentions.

Align your attitude.

Make sure your attitude is aligned with your intentions. Don’t miss this key point.

If you intend to contact 5 potential prospects today, or share 5 samples of the product with 5 different people, make sure you are in a “Feel good” place to do so.

If you just had a fight with your boss, your teenager, your spouse, etc., you may want to postpone those promotions until you can get your energy in the place it needs to be. We are vibrational creatures and those we interact with pick up on ALL of our vibes, both good and bad.

Before you zip off that email or pick up the phone, close your eyes for 30 seconds and “play pretend!” “See” before you, exactly the outcome that you desire from those contacts. “Feel” the way you’ll feel when you accomplish your goal! Combine the two for a “billion dollar vibration” sure to attract exactly what you are looking for.

Be appreciative for each experience and how you can grow from it.

Each day, before you begin, spend some time reviewing your daily intentions. Write them down. Then get clear on your expected results, and finally… EXPECT those results to show up!

Belief is a POWERFUL thing and with it, all things are possible.  We all believe something. Make sure you check what that belief is!

INTEND for this year to be your best year ever, and then EXPECT it! Keep your focus there and watch amazing things happen!

Thinking About Joining A New Network Marketing Company?

13 01 2009
Here’s what should you look for in a company.

At the top of my list is a quality product or service. So here’s what you should look for in a product or service:

  • Exciting. If you’re personally excited by the products and use them yourself, your enthusiasm will be your best sales asset.
  • High quality. Your long-term residual income is based on the product’s ability to deliver on its promise and maintain customer loyalty. You’ll never have to make an apology for a high-quality product.
  • Fairly priced. MLM products don’t usually win as the low-cost provider. However, high quality doesn’t necessarily mean overpriced. Make sure you or your customers are comparing apples to apples when price-shopping the competition.
  • Lifecycle. Are you at the beginning phase of a new product with a viable and growing market demand?
  • Unique. If it’s ‘another one just like the other one,’ you’d better look for a special marketing angle that separates this product from the pack.
  • Exclusivity. Be cautious if it’s available through other channels of distribution such as retail stores, catalogs or other MLM companies.
  • Satisfaction guarantee. A company that doesn’t stand behind its product will surely leave you embarrassed or potentially responsible to your customers.
  • Sales aids. Make sure the company has promotional literature that adequately supports product benefits and promotes retail sales.

Once you’ve found a product or service you can believe in, evaluate the company based on your personal needs and beliefs. Here’s what to look for:

  • Support materials. Company literature should be easily understandable and provide a professional image to support your business activities.
  • Policies and procedures document. Read and understand what you can and can’t do. These internal distributor regulations are designed to protect the integrity of the business and deal with the occasional renegade distributor who can ruin things for everyone. If the company offers no policies document, heed this as a red flag. This company either hasn’t had good MLM legal advice or doesn’t plan to stick around very long.
  • Corporate executives. They should be committed to quality and integrity, and have genuine concern for their distributors. If possible, interview them if possible, or at least talk to other successful distributors for their thoughts.

Ask:

  • Does one or more have experience in MLM?
  • Are experts involved in areas of administration, financial management, distribution and commissioning software?
  • Has the company hired professional consultants to help in areas of weakness?
  • History. How long has the company been in business? How many countries does it operate in? How many distributors does it have? What are its gross yearly sales? Is it well-funded? If it’s privately held, this information might not be readily available, but it’s worth a try.
  • Compensation plan. Does it sound realistic in its promises? When something sounds too good to be true, it usually is. Was it designed by competent experienced MLM experts? Does it fit your needs for part-time income or a full-time career opportunity? Does the plan use time-tested and proven success concepts, or are you part of an experimental program? Look for proof of success of this concept as used by another MLM. Have your sponsor or a company official explain it to you in detail.
  • Philosophy. Does it fit your style and make you feel comfortable and proud to be part of the organization?
  • Sales and training. Does the company or your upline offer regular support sessions or telephone training?
  • Commission software provider. Did a reputable company provide the software that will determine your bonuses? If new software has just been installed, it’s not uncommon to see glitches for a period of time that can affect your anticipated income stream.
  • Communication. Look for good communication in the form of newsletters, voice-mail capabilities, national conference calls and a strong Web presence using all available communication technologies.
  • Protection. The only required investment should be a noncommissionable sales kit. All other investments should be optional. Beware of large inventory load enticements or offers to buy positions. In case things don’t work out for you, make sure there’s a buy-back policy on your unsold inventory.

One important thing to keep in mind –

If you’re inexperienced, even selecting the right company won’t assure your success. Choosing the right upline sponsor to support you can be equally important. Is there someone in your first three upline levels who has had substantial success and can show you the way? This can be your shortcut to accelerated growth and my strongest recommendation for gaining early momentum.

The System Works … IF You Work The System

25 03 2006

So people ask me, “Ben, how is it that you have personally sponsored over 60 people into your business in less than 45 days; all of whom have purchased product and are duplicating?”

What I tell them is that I use the system and I teach all of my people to do the same … to use the system.

Why? Because systems are duplicatable, but people are not. We are all different. We all act different, we all think different, we all have different personalities, different modes of communication, and different styles of promoting. But the system never changes from one person to the next. The system never discriminates from one person to the next. The system never changes in its underlying theme and message that it drives across to our potential business partners. The system is duplicatable, whereas we, as unique and varying human beings are not.

So what is the system you ask? The system is so simple, so duplicatable that it can be summed up into a few simple steps; a few steps so simple that anyone can do them regardless of their background, education, or age! Regardless if you are a seasoned veteran or brand new to this wonderful industry of network distribution!

(by the way, if your mlm doesn’t have a system in place, my advice to you is, you had better create one NOW or find a company that has one already in place … your success in this industry depends upon it)

The system I use on a day in and day out basis is:

Step 1: I Invite my guests or potential business partners to listen to a recorded 2 minute overview.

Step 2: I Invite my guests or potential business partner to one of our live National business presentation conference calls.

Step 3: I do a 3 way with my guest and my sponsor or someone in my upline to answer any questions that my guest might have and for validation. From time to time, I also do 3 ways on a conference bridge in a group setting. When wanting to validate the business and opportunity to several people at a time; this is one of the fastest ways to build and create group momentum.

The steps I am outlining are nothing new, this type of simple system has been around in the industry for years, but that in and of itself should tell you something … IT WORKS! Less is always more and the simpler you keep it, the better.

Tip: One of the keys to remember is to always edify your upline or whomever you are introducing your guest to. Tell that person’s “success story” or background to your guest before the introduction. This will make your upline’s job much easier … which is to assist you and your potential business partner in getting your new business up and running in the right direction as fast as possible.

Step 4: Repeat the process and teach all new business partners to do the same.

That’s it you ask? You bet. Is it that simple? Absolutely! It is just a matter of a few simple steps, sticking to those steps, and teaching all of your people to do the same. Then repeating the process as often and as fast as possible … spinning the wheel so to speak or filling the pipeline.

In Summary: Remember to talk to as many people as you can as fast as you can; before someone else gets them in to the business. Give your prospect a few bullet points and then walk them through the system. Stay consistent and be persistent. Put your blinders on, your head down, and run with it! Do 3 – 90 day blitzes of concentrated efforts and your new business, as well as your income, will sky rocket!

In Closing: I honestly believe and know without a doubt, that what I am sharing with you flat out works. These few simple steps, if followed and worked diligently; will bring you the freedom and success you’re looking for! The only question is … how committed are you to designing the life you know you deserve? Are you willing to do what it takes?

If your answer is YES, then I look forward to seeing
YOU on the beaches of the world!
